Program #189 “Civil Disobedience #5 – “Speak Up” – 6/14/2015 – Synopsis

I begin this program in the series by reviewing the core ideology behind the homosexual movement. As David French with National Review wrote, “The conflict is not between gay rights and religious liberty, but between the sexual revolution and Christianity.”

I explain how the world is embracing the homosexual agenda as illustrated in the recent legalization of homosexual marriage in Ireland.

To sum up the series, I explain the main action of civil disobedience – speaking up for the truth. Our example is Acts 5:40-42 where the disciples were ordered not to speak in the name of Jesus, but they “kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as Christ.”

No matter how much the world and Satan persecute God’s people, they win only if they can get Christians to sell out Christ and Biblical truth. Apart from that, the world can do nothing to defeat the church. This is why the Scriptures say, “And they overcame him by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). Therefore, as in the example of the Korean war battle of Outpost Harry, “Hold at all cost.”
