#194 Why is American in Apostasy?

Program #194 “Why is America in Apostasy?” – 7/19/2015 – Synopsis

Program #194 is my presentation at the annual BridgeFM radio event called Bridgefest in Ocean Grove, NJ. I had 25 minutes to answer the question, “Why is America, and the whole world, in a state of perpetual apostasy?” I begin by explaining the validity and relevance of the question; I then go on to give numerous answers put forth by sociologists, historians and theologians. All of these answers fall short. Before providing the Biblical answer, I set the stage by explaining two foundational doctrines: (1) the doctrine of man’s sin and (2) the doctrine of the sovereignty of God. In view of these doctrines, the only explanation for the current moral decline is that we are in a new stage of God’s administration on earth. According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3, a Great Apostasy, a world-wide rebellion, will precede the coming of Christ. I explain the nature of this event and what it means for Christians today.

This is just an introduction to this subject – I hope to some provide additional resources on this subject in the near future. For now, consider the possibility that we are living in a special prophetic administration of God where the unsaved are given free reign to showcase their true nature and intentions.
