#91 “NJ Bill A3371 Counseling LGBTQ minors”
Abridged Radio Program
Synopsis: Program #91 – “Bill A3371” – July 28, 2013
Program 91 is meant to give you the inside information on New Jersey Bill A3371 which has passed both houses in the NJ legislature. This new law would make it illegal to counsel minors out of homosexuality. Governor Christie has yet to veto the legislation.
In this program I discuss the false moral justification embodied in the bill. The law reads that since homosexuality is no longer considered morally wrong, to counsel minors out of homosexuality would result in “confusion, depression, guilt, helplessness, hopelessness, shame, social withdrawal, suicidality, substance abuse, stress, disappointment, self-blame, decreased self-esteem and authenticity to others, increased self-hatred, hostility and blame toward parents, feelings of anger and betrayal, loss of friends and potential romantic partners, problems in sexual and emotional intimacy, sexual dysfunction, high-risk sexual behaviors, a feeling of being dehumanized and untrue to self, a loss of faith, and a sense of having wasted time and resource.” The way this bill will be enforced upon counselors, pastors and parents is then explained.
The program also informs the Christian community about J.O.N.A.H., Liberty Council, Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and the new booklet called “What same-s ex marriage has done to Massachusetts.” You must know this crucial information to be prepared for the battles that lie ahead.
